Feet Tidying with David Duchovney

Hebredian Arts Council, Leeds

This hour serves as a wonderful introduction to the ancient Hebredian art of “feet tidying” through one woman’s personal relationship with the X Files, and Californication star, David Duchovney.

Sally FootTidy (who has actually changed her name by deed poll through her love for this mysterious and ancient skill) lived in a Mud Hut in the Hebredes for 45 years to learn foot tidying, and her passion and skill comes out as infectiously as toenail fungus in this show.

The show is part personal journey, part tutorial, part poem, part song, part dance, part opera, part exercise video and part puppetry, but 100% Sally – as Sally uses her wide skill range to talk to the audience with such an enthusiasm and interest for Feet and for Foot Tidying, that by the end, this reviewer was ready to up sticks and move to the Hebredes.

The Verdict

Duchovney is simply the cherry on the top of the foot-shaped cake. A wonderful show for untidy-footed-adults.
