Thomas The Tank

Israel Information centre, Labour headquarters, 5 -21 Aug until 2021

Thomas is a brave little Merkava MK IVm Windbreaker tank who works for the Israel Defence Force. He is given a glorious but dangerous mission: to protect the sanctity of Israeli territorial borders by entering into the evil kingdom of Gaza and defeating the evil Emperor Yusuf

Emperor Yusuf is an evil nine-year-old Palestinian war lord who has been terrorising Israeli civilians by kicking a football up and down a disused car park.

Cowardly Yusuf is protected by a retinue of other Palestinian children, each more evil and cowardly than the next.

Armed with only his 120mm MG234 gun, 60mm Mortars an Israeli Air Force backup squadron of F-16 Fighting Falcons, 200 ground troops and $1.8 Billion per annum of American Military aid, brave little Thomas must travel to Gaza and face the might of Yusuf and his evil henchildren.

Will Thomas Prevail against such seemingly insurmountable odds? What is Yusuf’s evil mother Fatima doing in her tiny kitchen? It looks like she’s baking bread, but it’s highly likely that she is baking rockets. Unbelievable.

This is a perfectly reasonable and proportionate show, an appropriate and measured response to the Palestine Players’ cowardly and evil “Mohammed The Pointy Stick” which is currently playing in the Barons Court Theatre.

Show attendees are advised to stay away from the theatre between 6am and 8am tomorrow morning.

The Verdict

A funny and moving little play about the hazards of ball games.
